Pebble Time Round picks up new polished gold and silver color options

Pebble Time Round picks up new polished gold and silver color options

Last month, Pebble introduced its latest smartwatch designs as it began the crowdfunding effort for the Pebble 2 and Pebble Time 2. Neither strayed too far from what worked for their predecessors, while delivering upgrades like faster processors, a larger screen, stylish new looks, and heart-rate monitoring hardware. And while that was all well and good, we could understand how the news could be a bit of a letdown for fans of Pebbles circular-screened Pebble Time Round; where was their new model? While Pebbles still not ready to reinvent that hardware for a full-on Pebble Time Round 2, today we do get word of a couple new finish options that are on their way, as Pebble reveals new shiny metallic polished gold and polished silver colors.

As you may be aware, the Pebble Time Round has already been available in both silver and rose gold colors. The difference here is that these new polished options add some extra shine to their looks, and we pick up a classic yellow-gold shade (if pinks not your thing).

Both the polished silver and polished gold Pebble Time Round will be available as 20mm-band versions of the smartwatch; theres no word on similar color options coming to the 14mm size.

For now, the only place to get either new Pebble Time Round color is on Kickstarter, where both are available to backers for just about $200. While Pebble makes it sound like direct sales will follow, crowdfunding will let you get your hands on the watch the earliest, with shipments set to get started sometime in September. Backers will also enjoy the bonus of being able to customize their smartwatches with an optional laser-engraved message.
